Another airport, another trip done and dusted. There is something about sitting in an airport knowing you are on the way home. Does not matter if you have been away for business or for leisure. Knowing you are only a few short hours from familiar territory, you will be sleeping in your own bed tonight and that you will see your loved ones again makes the wait bearable.

This frequent travel has sort of lead to the creation of this blog. Writing has always been a passion but have never taken it to that next level before. As I sit here watching the Qantas 737’s ready for their next departure through the windows of the business lounge, I realise that I spend so much time in the air I do actually have the time to realise the passion of writing. If no one reads it, well that is fine. If no one likes it – too bad. It’s relaxation for me and well, why not?
If you are reading this, I hope you stick around and come back from time to time. Hopefully this blog will help other families with ideas , hints and tips on what to do in their free time. We live in a truly diverse country with so many options on how to spend our weekends, afternoons and holidays. Hopefully our adventures will inspire you to get out there with your family and really make the most of that oh so precious down time from the realities of bills, work and stress.
